Hi SAP Gurus,
I would really appreciate some help/guidance with a problem we are facing with ATP. In particular, the problem we have is ATP at Delivery level (Checking Rule B) and its interaction with our Batch Determination process
Our Scope of Check includes check for Replenishment LT (two weeks) and only Unrestricted Stock (including SS) will be considered and we only include Pr Orders as source of supply. When trying to convert Sales Orders to deliveries, ATP is working fine - it performs expected availability checks and provides expected suggested dates for production based on Pr Ord/Delivery situation.
However, our problem appears when trying to complete the Batch Determination process (allocate product) to the deliveries shipping the next day - we normally allocate one day in advance. I understand this process goes also through Checking Rule B when determining batches available.
Our problem is that whenever *** ATP Qty calculation goes negative (CO09) because for some reason production falls behind, SAP do not show any batches available to ship even though we may have plenty of Unrestricted stock to cover deliveries for next day.
Example:
Product A - Stock 100 (Unrestricted) - RLT (14 days)
Delivery #1 on day 1 = - 90 (Covered)
Delivery #2 on day 9 = - 20 (Not covered)
Pr Order on day 10 = + 20 (Production is going to be late - Exception message 10) This can´t be rescheduled due to capacity constraints
In the above example, when Warehouse tries to allocate product to Delivery #1 through Batch Determination, SAP shows that no batches are available even though there is enough stock on hand to cover first delivery. If Pr Ord is moved up making *** ATP Qty positive, then Batch Determination process can be completed. However, this is always not possible and rescheduling deliveries is something not too appealing for our Sales group and it could involve a considerable amount of deliveries.
Hence, I would appreciate if anyone could provide any insights on how to solve this issue. Is there a way to distinguish logic applying to Delivery creation and Batch determination so that warehouse can allocate?
Thank you very much in advance,
Lorenzo
